The institute supports research, teaching, and community-building around computer-aided reasoning in mathematics. Apply to visit, ask the innovation engineers for help with a problem, propose a workshop or summer school, take a position, register as a researcher, or just sign up to hear from us.
Visit ICARM
Small groups of researchers in residence at ICARM in Pittsburgh for 1–4 weeks of focused, technology-intensive collaboration. Office space, computing, and innovation engineer support.

A one-hour meeting with some or all of ICARM’s innovation engineers to work on one specific problem — formalization, proof automation, computation, or getting a piece of mathematics into machine-checkable form.

Workshops on topics where computational reasoning plays a substantive role in advancing mathematics — research talks, working sessions, hands-on with tools.

Two-week summer schools for graduate students and recent PhDs, with substantial project work in the second week. Travel, housing, and meals supported by ICARM.

Postdoctoral fellowships in mathematics or a closely related discipline, beginning August 2026. Innovation engineer positions also available periodically.
